Often after pregnancy, extreme weight loss, over the years or too early because it is genetically predisposed, three types of problems can be presented. These are: the extensive sagging and dermal subcutaneous tissue fall, excessive accumulation of fat in the area around the navel or in the surrounding area of the abdomen and the diastasis recti in combination with or without umbilical hernia, which do not disappear neither with diet nor exercise. Since the malformation cannot be corrected with diet and exercise, the problem can be treated invasively. I use, as appropriate, either abdominoplasty alone or, in combination with liposuction or liposculpture, the plastic surgery in the rectus abdominis and omphalocele, hidden under the skin at the time of abdominoplasty, with no extra marks and scars. In this operation the excess skin or fat buildup are removed from all the abdomen area with an incision hidden in the bikini, like caesarean section, and with a redefinition of the navel in his new physical location. The recovery is very fast due to the atraumatic and bloodless technique that I use. In three to five days later, the shunts are removed and the patient is completely released and can resume daily activities as before. This also applies to cases that have been undergone combined surgeries in the area. The bruises in the case of liposuction and liposculpture may remain for a few weeks. In the case of abdominoplasty, if there has been a proper surgical plan, there is no pain, no bruises and with the help of a corset or zone, the entire prepared area is rejoined in its new position. The incision, which as we said is well hidden within the “bikini area”, over time and by the therapeutic laser applications tends to fade after six months to a year, depending on your skin. It is very important to wear corset or belt for as long as you can, for more than a month. There is no need however to scare you, because the materials they are made of are of high-tech, do not warm, do not put pressure and do not hurt your skin. Therefore, abdominoplasty surgeries are made throughout the year, even in summer. In the surgery area, there will be a hypoesthesia maintained for a short time, but is gradually restored. The surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or by epidural injection.
